Our Shiitake mushroom kit is Composed of a blend of 19 different local hardwood sawdust and wood chips sterilized and fully colonized with a select strain of Shiitake (Lentinula edodes). The Shiitake is one of the most prized culinary mushrooms used for many delicious receipes. The Shiitake is also recognized for its health-supporting properties, and is a favorite around here. Shiitake mushrooms can be harvested at 2 week intervals for up to 16 weeks. A 50-80° F environment is ideal.
