*Mini-Pleated filters have 3 times the filter media than filters with aluminum separators, therefore providing 3 times the amount of material to trap particles, they also last 1.5-3 times longer than aluminum separator filters as long as the thickness is close to the filter depth. For example, a mini-pleated filter 24x48x6 but with a 3" core will be 150% more efficient and lasting 150% longer than a standard filter with aluminum separators. A 24x48x6 HEPA filter with a 4.5" core (how deep the media pack is in the filter frame) will last 2.25 times longer or 225% longer than an aluminum separator filter. That also translates to efficiency because you have more than double the amount of media trapping particles.
